I received an iPod Shuffle today, 2 GB from Lucky USPS (hand addressed). Thought it was the cosmetic bag from a few months ago, but Noooooo.....

Thanks, you guys! I couldn't find a thread for it--if you know where to find the offer, could you please let us know? But really, the same time as the Neutrogena lipstick, there was supposed to be a cosmetic bag (from Olay I think). Also, I saw my post about a cute bracelet from back in August. I don't think anyone got either of those. Makes you wonder if they really send out all the prizes. Oh, wait! It's Conde Nast--Lucky and Allure have the same publisher. That 'splains it.

Wow, congrats to everyone who got a ipod shuffle! I got one too . . . but I don't know how to fill it with music . . . I never have even had a cell phone, but I am somewhat computer savvy . . . would like to give it to my husband for valentines.

All I know so far is that it takes MP4 format of music and you can put i-tunes on it . . . was wondering, can you put those great free music downloads on it that you see online for a limited time?

And what kind of cord do you use on it to connect to your computer to get the music in it?

If anyone knows of a site that has the info about the fourth generation ipod shuffle and gives lots of info, please post! I am having a lot of trouble finding out about it, I don't know if it is brand new or what is the problem finding info.

The best thing I found so far is that there is an adapter for it that allows you to adjust and change the dials on the adapter instead of the earphones . . . I read that they are really small and the dials quit working if they get any sweat on them . . . I plan on buying that. Found it mentioned on an Amazon review for the ipod shuffle 4th generation.

Should I just take this to an ipod store and ask them?
Any tips would help, trying to keep it a secret from my honey who also would not know anything about it.
 
Install itunes on your computer, plug the shuffle into your machine and follow the prompts. It's made by Apple. They spoon feed (guide) you the entire way. My mother was able to set her's up all on her own.
