Bose 3.1 Home Theater System for $1099 Shipped

Hmm this Bose 3.1 setup at that price is tempting compared to the usual soundbars I look at, but I'm curious if the center channel really improves movie dialogue. I could see it fitting my small living room for games and movies and being easier than building a proper surround rig. Still unsure about bass without a sub and if latency is low enough for competitive shooters, might wait for reviews.
