I would not feel bad either. Every dealership salesman is trying everything he can to screw you over no matter how nice they act. It's all a show. I will gladly waste your time.

I wouldn't feel bad at all. They do everything that they can to push every cent out of someone who gets suckered into buying a car, and they get super pushy about signing papers. Nope, don't feel bad for pushy scumbags.

Ask the dealer for a copy of paperwork then later you can call the
marketing firm to followup any problems with your gift card.
When I called and provided test drive paperwork I received
the card.

I have an '05 Hyundai Sonata that I LOVE! When I am in the market for another car, I will definitely buy another Hyundai. With that being said, I think this is horrible to do to a salesman. They work on commission, so your not only wasting their time, but they may be missing out on a sale while they are giving you their attention for a gift card. Put yourself in their shoes when you're tempted to participate in this offer.

Offer is no longer available. To the person who works for Hyundai, Hyundai USA is getting people in the door for the salesperson. They need to work their charm to convince them to buy a vehicle.

I love saving money and all but to take up a salesman's time to just get $40 is awful. like mentioned in the comments below, id be pissed off if some cheap ass non potential buyer is wasting when I could be making money with an actual customer.

As someone who works at a car dealership, please don't do this just for the money. You are taking up time for someone who makes their money on commission, and honestly it is very rude. If you are honestly shopping for vehicles, by all means go ahead and take advantage of the offer, but otherwise it is a waste of time.

Also, for the people saying they aren't getting the gift card, they probably didn't redeem it. It is all done through a third party service, but if you literally walk in and say 'I'm just here for my gift card', most sales people will not redeem it.

Thanks, I bought a 17 Sonata in May and will gladly return for a visit to the dealer for $40.
By the way, I love the car, $23,000 MSRP for $15,900 before trade after all rebates.

Went to dealer for test drive, submit the form to them, they copied the driver's license, did not get anything. Went to the website to submit query regarding status, no response. That was about 4 months ago. NOTHING!
San Diego dealer.

I test drove and got nothing. Keep being told it takes a week. Now being told to wait another week. I have a bad taste in my mouth for Hyundai now and actually liked the car. I won't do business with a company that gives me the runaround. Too many other choices.

This was so easy to do. I told them I wasn't ready to buy right now, so I didn't do a test drive. I gave them the form and it was turned in and I got my Amazon gift card very soon afterward. Thanks!

I signed up as soon as I saw this (by 9amPST) and the next thing I knew I was being called to come down and drive a car. (I was already en route) Drove a Santa Fe and it was so much nicer than my 07 Sonata.
My Gift card was suppose to be Amazon $40 at least that is what it showed printed on the paper I took with me.
I requested that they send me either Walmart or Target if possible. I wound up with a $40 Target eGC
MANY THANKS!!!

Mine was $40 (Had selected Amazon). Went to local dealer, told them I was only looking, he gave me the Hyundai history and then handed the form to another lady to enter. Email with Amazon code was in my inbox before I got home. Easy $40 - Thanks Spoofee!

Anything Korean made sucks! Their crap ALWAYS breaks and just right out of warranty. An LG repairman told me this is how they purposefully design it. Sell it cheap and make lots of $$$ for service/parts. Furthermore, my son did a test drive with them years ago and never received the gift card. It was supposed to mailed. The dealer put the wrong code on the form. The gift card people corrected it but could never get it processed. After 10 phone calls and numerous hours, we gave up for $25. Wasn't it worth it. Never again. Sounds like similar issues from what I'm seeing on the other posts. Bastards!

went into Bergstrom Hyndai in Appleton, WI - the person that was there was not aware of this promotion... Was not that friendly... I was told by the spoofee ad that I would be able to choose that gift card that I wanted... WRONG... was told that the gift card would be emailed to me... NO CHOICE... I would have rather had the VISA CARD to use where I wanted... with this I am stuck with Amazon

you might want to give a fake number - calls start right away. I talked to the manager when I went in and I explained I was interested in the gift card, and not really the car. I gave him the option of just filling out the info on line. He was very pleased to fill out and let me skip any test drive.

Went in today, test drove, out in 30min. Virtual Visa card emailed to me within one hour. Already used it to pay towards electric bill. To the person saying you're taking away from the salesperson's time, I'd respond that Hyundai is offering this promotion knowing that not every test drive results in a sale. They're hoping to convert those people into sales. That's the whole point of the offer. When you go clothes shopping do you feel compelled to purchase a article of clothing if you tried it on and you don't like how it looks on you?

Tried a couple sites in the San Diego area.. no pop-up :(

Just remember that sales people make their living selling cars and when you go to dealer you will take them away from a real opportunity to earn a living - if your time has no value to you and it's worth a $50 gift card... have the decency to value another human being's time and stay home.

I went in today and was told the person that processes the gift cards was not there. I hope I get mine tomorrow.

My local dealer is participating, so I thought I'd give it a try.

I went in and was honest that I was only there for the gift card. the Sales guy was cool with it and even appreciated that I didn't waste his time. It was VERY fast and done with. got my $50 e-mailed to me in a target egiftcard form instantly after I left.

$50 to sell your email to Korea, hmmm...

I did this a few weeks ago with Mazda. By the time I got home from the test drive, I already had spam from them. I unsubscribed and was informed it 'takes up to a week' to get removed from the list. Yet it took less than an hour to start receiving their junk? 3 weeks later, still getting their spam.

I already have a 16 Elantra but went anyhow to get
the card. Only took about 10 min. They just showed
me the 17 model and I was done.
